Fee for service plan

All clinical staff at the NeuroDevelopment Center serve as participating providers for Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Health Insurance. For all of the services we offer that are covered services under BCBS plans, you will be responsible only for your regular mental health copay. Please be aware that many BCBS plans do not cover educational testing and only pays for neurofeedback in certain circumstances. If you receive these services, you will need to pay out of pocket at the time of your visit.

Dr. Hirshberg is the only NeuroDevelopment Center clinical staff member who accepts United Health insurance. For all of the services he offers that are covered services under United plans, you will be responsible only for your regular mental health copay.

If we do not accept your insurance, or if your insurance does not cover the particular service you are receiving, you will need to pay out of pocket at the time of your visit. You may then be able to seek reimbursement directly from your insurer. Our front office staff will be happy to assist you with this, but please remember that we do not guarantee that you will be reimbursed; that is between you and your carrier.

Service Package Plans

For some of our services, the NDC also gives you the option of paying a fixed amount for a "package" of services. For example, we offer a plan for intensive neurofeedback training in the office and at home for one price. Cogmed working memory training is also offered in a similar package. Neuropsychological and psychological evaluations can also be paid in this manner.

If you are not able to make use of health insurance coverage to pay for our services, you may want to consider this option. You could make use of your HSA or MSA. You could use a home equity loan.

Cash, checks, or credit and debit cards can be used either for the fee for service approach or the fixed price plans.
